Heading south of Rome
one leaves Lazio-Roma and enters into Campania, itself part
of the vast Mezzogiorno which once encompassed all of
southern Italy, including Sicily.
The modern Region of
Campania is an incredibly varied land - it includes the
bustling cities of Naples and Salerno and hundreds of
smaller towns and cities that have been settled since time
immemorial.
It is here you find the remains of ancient
Greece at Paestum, Agropoli and Herculaneum, the volcanic
ruins of Pompeii, the mind-blowing coast of the Amalfi
Peninsula...and much much more.

Day 2:
ROME

Morning:
Vatican City Guided tour
On this Vatican Tour we will lead you through the maze
of the Vatican City and look closely at the highlights
of the Vatican Museums' marvellous art collection
including the Sistine Chapel and St. Peter's Basilica.
Afternoon at leisure. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Day
3:
ROME - NAPLES - POMPEII -
SORRENTO
|

Early morning departure to Naples, where a short visit of the town is
featured. Then on to Pompeii, the famous Roman city destroyed by the volcanic
eruption of Mt. Vesuvius in 79 A.D. Lunch in a local restaurant, and afterwards,
visit of the excavations. Proceed on to Sorrento. Dinner and overnight at the
hotel.

Day 4: SORRENTO - CAPRI - SORRENTO
|
|
Buffet breakfast. Departure to Capri by steamer. Weather conditions permitting,
visit of the Blue Grotto. Return to Marina Grande and then transfer to Anacapri.
Lunch in a typical restaurant followed by a visit of Augustus’ Gardens, with a
view of the Faraglioni. Return to Sorrento. Dinner and overnight.

Day 5: SORRENTO -
AMALFI - SORRENTO
|

After Breakfast at hotel,
departure to Amalfi via the breathtaking Amalfi Coast. En-route you will see
Positano and other picturesque fishing villages. Visit Villa Rufolo in Ravello
and the Cathedral in Amalfi.
Late afternoon return to Sorrento. Dinner and
overnight.

SORRENTO

Buffet breakfast.
Guided tour of the historic centre. The town offers a fantastic
view over the Bay of Naples.
For 2000 years visitors from all over the world
have been attracted to Sorrento by breathtaking sunsets
and fragrances of orange and lemon gardens.
